ARCHAEOLOGICAL HOAX GLQZEL FAMILY ARRESTED By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m. PARIS. Monday. Emile Fradin states that someone placed the newly-engraved pebbles, which the police seized in a wall in his cattle-shed in order to discredit the Glozei finds. People at Glozei assert that the discovery has in no way shaken their faith in the discoveries. The controversy between eminent French and foreign archaeologists about the Glozei finds took a sensational turn yesterday, when the police seized six tablets, a mould, two files and other tools found in the house bf the farmer, Fradin, on whose land the tablets were discovered. The members of Fradin's iiEi.y were arrested. They had been charging an entrance fee for inspecting the finds. The action of the police, was the outcome of a formal charge of fraud made by the Prehistoric Society. The latter characterises Glozei as a vast. hoax, which tends to discredit French scientific work. A. and N.Z.
