NATIONAL AND LYRIC
“IN OLD KENTUCKY” Cecil Holland, make-up artist and actor who has won an enviable name as an artist with grease paint and other make-up artifices, plays the role of an aged one-armed Confederate veteran in “In Old Kentucky,” the Metro - Goldwyn - Mayer production which is now being shown at the National and Lyric Theatres. Though Holland is still a young man he affects a make-up that depicts him a man of more than 70. Jacqueline Gadson, who is just 20, is enabled to play his aged wife by the use of character make-up. The picture features James Murray, Helene Costello and Wesley Barry and the supporting cast includes Dorothy Cummings, Edward Martindale, Nick Cogley and many others well-known to film fans. -
