PROVINCIAL SHOWS
WHANGAREI ANNUAL MEETING NEW OFFICERS ELECTED (From Our Own Correspondent) WHANGAREI, To-day. About 30 members attended the annual meeting of the Whangarei A. and P. Association, Mr. R. D. Finlayson presiding. The following officers were elected: President, Mr. L. W. Nelson; vicepresident, Mr. C. N. Stringer; treasurer, Mr. H. W. Crawford; committee, Messrs. D. Childs, R. D. Finlayson, D. J. Finlayson, A. C. M. Finlayson, H. T. Snell, A. Clarke, H. C. Fraser and F. O. Barge; auditor, Mr. F. L. Gunn. The better lighting of the cattle pavilion was recommended to the new committee. Inquiry will be made into the methods of farming and keeping records at Puwera. A resolution was passed expressing disapproval of th© daylight-saving legislation.
