ZOUBKOFF FINED £lO GERMAN PEOPLE SHOCKED By Coble.—Press Association — Copyright. Reed. 9.45 a.m. BERLIN. Friday. Following the arrest of Zoubkoff, the husband of the ex-Kai-ser's sister. Princess Victoria, for assaulting a page boy, the police found that his Russian passport visa had expired in December. He was fined £lO. He has not yet been charged with the cafe offence. Zoubkoff was arrested at 3 a.m. on Thursday, taken to the police station and released after giving his name and address. The people of Germany have been shocked by Zoubkoff's act. His at tack on the page boy occurred in the newly-opened Casa Nova bar in the fashionable West End. The newspapers and the public are angry, the former describing the Russian as “a barbarian at the bar.” They demand his deportation. Zoubkoff arrived at the Casa Nova at midnight. He drank heavily and danced with professional dancers. At 3 a.m. he staggered into the lobby. Where he resented an offer of l-.elp made by the page boy, whom he. ordered to make himself scarce. The lad’s explanation was met with a blow | which knocked him down. After that it jis alleged that Zoubkoff proceeded to kick him.
