SUNBEAMS RETURN

“WEDDING OF BABY DOREEN” The Royal Australian Sunbeam children, who have delighted Auckland audiences on previous occasions, will open a short season at the National Theatre on Thursday afternoon. As this is the farewell appearance of the company in Auckland, Miss Chrissie Royal is staging "The Wedding of Baby Doreen," which has proved to be the children's most popular effort. Baby Doreen will be seen as the bride, Harry Ussher as the groom, Gwen. Jones as Cupid and Jackie Clarke as best man. The principals will be supported by the full strength of the company. There will be new individual items, concerted numbers and ballets, and the famous Acrobatic Sunbeam Wonders will again appear. The company has had a most successful tour, and will return to Australia after the Auckland season.
