BANK OF AUSTRALASIA By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, Thursday. The directors of the Bank of Australasia have declared a dividend of 14 per cent, free of income tax. The sum of £40,000 has been placed to the reserve and £50,000 to premises account. The balance to be carried forward is £139,567. —A. and N.Z. NATIONAL MORTGAGE CO. LONDON, Thursday. The report of the National Mortgage and Agency Company for the year ended September 30, shows the amount available for distribution, after contributing £3,914 to the staff superannuation fund, to be £45,310. A final dividend is proposed of 7£ per cent., with a bonus of 2s a share, both free of income tax, making a total for the year of 12| per cent. The balance to be carried forward is £14,060. —A. and N.Z. DEMAND FOR N.Z. BUTTER By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright, LONDON, Thursday. The butter market showed an improved demand. Choicest salted New Zealand is quoted at 164 s to 1665, exceptionally fine, 168 s; Australian, 156 s to 158 s; exceptionally fine, 160 s. Unsalted, New Zealand is quoted at 168 s to 170 s, Australian 156 s to 160 s, Danish 188 s. The cheese market is quiet. New Zealand is quoted at 94s to 955; Australian, 90s to 92s.—A. and N.Z.
