THREE VARIETIES OF LIZARDS

Three varieties of lizards have been added to the Auckland Zoo as a gift from the Rev. Jasper Calder. One is a Gould’s Monitor, some two feet long, and splendidly marked in black and yellow. The other two are blue-tongued lizards. Mr. Calder intends presenting a number of snakes and lizards from his fine private museum to the public museum. He has been collecting as a hobby for some 25 years, and has a number of very fine specimens from which a selection will be made.
