SUCCESSFUL CANVASS

CHRYSANTHEMUM CLUB A successful canvass on behalf of j the Chrysanthemum Club was re- j ported to a meeting last evening when Mr. A. Finer said the trophies promised would supplement those offered by the Horticultural Society, and have a stimulating influence upon \ competitions at shows held under the club’s auspices. The chairman, Mr. A. R. Abbott, \ gave a short address on the cultivation of show blooms apd outlined the method of “taking the bud’’ and feeding to obtain large blooms. Several new members, including ; some from country districts, were i elected.
