BRIDGE EVENING
Mrs. R. Webster, of Herne Bay, was the hostess at a bright little bridge party last evening given in farewell to Miss Meredith of Christchurch, who has been staying with her. The house was attractively decorated with bowls of vivid dahlias and tiger lilies, and in the hall, where Mrs. Webster received her guests, tall vases of crimson gladioli provided colour relief. Mrs. Webster wore an attractive gown of black ninon, draped to one side and caught with a large diamante buckle. Bands of diamante on the bodice accentuated the note of brilliance.
Miss Meredith was wearing a girlish frock of rose du Barri taffeta, made with a gauged bodice and a bouffant skirt trimmed with bands of fine lace.
Among Mrs. Webster’s guests were: Mrs. A. Ramsay, Mrs. Wilkinson, Mrs. P. Barry, Mrs. H. Manning, Mrs. R. Roberts, Mrs. P. Dawson, Mrs. Carruthers, Mrs. Carr, Mrs. Nicholls, Miss Manning, Miss Carr, Miss Watson, Miss H. Jackson, Miss Price, Miss Keys and Miss R. Taylor.
