PRINCE EDWARD

VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES “ i rhe Million Dollar Bid,” starring Doloies Costello, will be shown at the Prince Edward Theatre to-night. Warner Olaxd, as the old husband, gives one of the most masterful of his performances. The manly Malcolm McGregor i lays the young husband with force ani charm. Betty Blythe, who will be i emembered as the “Queen of Sheba” in that great spectacles of several years ago, is the frigid, worldly mother in perfection. William Demarest and Douglas Gerrard successfully lighten the tragedy, and the baby will win the love of all mothers everywhere. Grace Gordon, as the maid, also gives a creditable performance.

Added to the fineness of the acting is the technical beauty of the picture. The photography is unusually brilliant, and Michael Curtiz has again proven himself a truly great director. A large vaudeville programme will also be presented this evening.
