GREAT BINGEN BEGINS SLOWLY
Although Great Bingen finished well away from the winner in the Myers Handicap on Saturday the son of Nelson Bingen— Bertha Bell was t-avelling fast over the final circuit. He was not too quick getting into his stride, but was moving nicely when he reached the eight-fur-lor>g post. Clocked from here D. Withers’s speed merchant got over four furlongs in 1.3 3-5, and completed the mile in 2.8 3-5, the last half occupying 1.4 4-5. He finished in eighth place, but had he got into his stride at the jump off Great Bingen would have been much closer up, although he would not have beaten the winner.
