The following were the results of the leading events: OAKLEIGH PLATE Of £2,000; 5§ furlongs EUSTON (A. J. Levin), br g, by Cool trim—Royal Fairy, 3yrs, 8.2 .. 1 MARGEAUX (St. Anton —Cardinalis), 4yrs, 7.10 t LADY YARBOROUGH (Duke of Melton —So Near), 6yrs, 7.6 t tDear heat Lady Yarborough was first to show out, and at the four furlongs post she was leading Euston. Rounding the home turn MaHereaux, on the outside, had joined Lady Yarborough and Euston, with Harvest Gold close up on the rails. The field entered the straight in this order, When Euston drew away, and won comfortably by a length and a-half. The judge could not . separate Margeaux and Lady Yarborough, and a dead-heat was declared. Time, 1.82. FEDERAL STAKES Of £1,000; for two-year-olds; 5 furlongs. First Division KING OF REVELRY (W. Kennedy), ch g, by Thrice —King of the Carnival, 8.4 1 ST. ALDEN, 7.3 2 STROGOFP (Lanius—Onega), 7.13 .. 3 Fourteen started. In a great finish King of Revelry won by half a head. Time, 1.11. Second Division MYSTIC PEAK (A. G. Barlow), 8.4 1 KAOOTA (Cyklon—Last Ray), 8.7 .. 2 STAR WARDEN, 7.10 3 Thirteen started. Mystic Peak won by two lengths. Time, I.IJ. BOND CUP Of £1,250 and cup valued £100; 1£ miles SPEARSET (Underwood and Smith), b g, by Spearhead—Francette’s Daughter, syrs, 8.9 1 EPILOGUE, 4yrs, 8.3 .. f MOUNTAIN PRINCE, 6yrs, 6.9 .. .. t tDear heat Spearset, Epilogue and Mountain Prince fought out a great battle. Spearset gained the verdict by half a head, while Epilogue and Mountain Prince ran a dead-heat for second place. Time, 2.35£. ST. GEORGE STAKES Of £1,000; weight-for-age, with penaties and allowances; 1 mile and a furlong. BLACK DUCHESS (Mrs. P. G. Macnamara), blk f, by Magpie—Extension, 3yrs, 7:4 1 SAILING HOME (imp.), aged, 9.2 .. .. 2 QUINTUS, aged, 8.13 .. 3 Seven started, including Amounis. Black Duchess won by three lengths. Amounis finished fourth. Time, 1.55£.—A and N.Z.
