“EXPLOITS OF THE EMDEN”
SUPERB SEA DRAMA A remarkable production, The Exploits of the Emden,” which was made under the aegis of the German Admiralty has been very favourably reviewed in the English papers. “The Daily Express’* has this to say, after previewing this thrilling production. " ‘The Exploits of the Emden’ is a naval ‘Beau Geste.’ The producers make no effort to minimise the terrible punishment that fell on the Emden. .. . All the acting is excellenct... . The cumulative effect of the Emden’s punishment is terrific. ... It is a superb sea drama, remarkable for its thrills as well as truth’’; and “The Daily Chronicle” publishes also a very favourable review: “A picture everyone will wish to see, because it records brilliantly the amazing adventures of the German raider and German sailor. Captain Karl von Muller. 'The Exploits of the Emden’ contains nothing which British audiences should resent.”
