WATER ECONOMY

CITIZENS INSPECT WORKS PARTY FROM MOUNT ALBERT To-day a delegation mostly comprised of the members of the Mount Albert Borough Council is on a visit to the city water reserves. The party left at 8 a.m. and is not due back until this evening. * Mount Albert is a buyer of water from the city, and the district, according to Cr. J. A. C. Alium, has done everything it can to save water during the acute shortage. FURTHER ECONOMIES The latest institutions to fall under the water economies are the public baths and the beach taps, all of which have been sealed, so that the swimmers will have to carry the salt home on themselves —and use the showers there.
