H E pleaded guilty to a charge of obtaining £lO by means of a valueless cheque. Chief-Detective Hammond said that accused had booked a room at an hotel, and after making false representations concerning himself, tendered the cheque, and had it cashed. “He is at present serving a sentence of three months,” added Mr. Hammond. "He’s got three months more,” said the Magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt.
