PEOPLE LIVING IN GARAGES COUNTY COUNCIL PROTESTS The annoyance caused to county residents by owners of garages who used their buildings as residences was the subject of comment at the Manulfau County Council meeting yesterday. The chairman, Mr. F. M. Waters, referred to a case in Papatoetoe where a permit was issued for a ga.rage which was afterwards used for domestic purposes. The occupier cooked and slept there. In the opinion of Mr. J. S. Dickson, M.P., action could be taken under the Public Health Act. In the meantime the question was referred to the building inspector for a report.
