The offering comprised approximately three rows of steers and fewer than four full rows of cow and heifer beef. Many well-finished steer? came forward, and the offering genertyiy was a most representative one, being drawn from all parts of the district. A line of well-finished heavy prime steers on account of H. E. Reed, Waerenga, topped the market at £l4 10s, sevim in the line averaging £l3 2s. Several yards of big-framed welltinisshed Waikato cattle helped to bring up the average quality of the yarding, which included the usual quota of lightframed cull dairy sorts. An active demand was registered throughout. Heavy prime cows on account of the Ruakura State Farm made £9. Other heavy prime big-framed Waikato young cows made £10; mediumframed choice, prime young cows and heifers made from £7 10s to £9 ss; lighter and small prime, £5 10s to £0 6d; light and unfinished, £4 5s to £5 ss.
