The producer of the revue in the Midlands, in which a comedian was said to have appeared as the Prince of Wales, has withdrawn the Prince’s name. He explains that the comedian did not pretend to be the Prince, although an entry to this effect followed the mention of his name.—Sun. An earlier message said that the Lord Chamberlain, the Earl of Crewe, * had ordered an inquiry following complaints that in a revue staged at a Midland town, a comedian is appearing as the Prince of Wales, grotesque in dress and deportment. During a burlesque inspection of a liner’s crew the comedian wa* said to have made vulgar and ridiculous remarks.
