MANUREWA PRESBYTERIANS

FROM SUPPER ROOM TO CHURCH The dedicatory service in connection with the opening of the new Presbyterian Church hal lat Manurewa will be held on Wednesday evening, February 22, when the Rev. X'raser D. Barton, moderator of the Auckland Presbytery, will be the officiating minister. The opening services will be held on the following Sunday, when the morning service will be conducted by the Rev. Geo. Budd, superintendent of home missions, and the evening service—which will commence at 7.30 p.m. to allow ample time for the visitors from Alfriston to arrive—will be taken by the Rev. T. H. Roseveare, of Papatoetoe. This is the first church building the Presbyterians of Manurewa have built, and now presents a ; very neat appearance, set among the pines on a section on the Great South Road, next to the public school. *>ome five years ago the services were held in the supper room of the picture theatre, and for the last couple of years the Manurewa Town Hall has been the meeting-place. The Presbyterians of Manurewa are indeed proud to see the culmination of their hopes fast materialising.
