GOOD “BURNING” WEATHER
DENSE SMOKE EVERYWHERE Settlers from “away back” who burnt their felled bush early in the season, report that they had good clean burns. The turnips sown on these areas, writes The Sun’s Kaikohe correspondent, are not coming away as well as could be desired, owing to the absence of rain. Other* areas are now being burnt, as indicated by the dense smoke, everywhere, "in readiness for the autumn sowing.
