FAITHFUL SPRINGS

ONEHUNGA WATER SUPPLY * STEADY LEVELS MAINTAINED Evidence of the apparent inexhaustibility of the Onehunga springs is afforded by an official tally recently taken. T Nspite of the immense quantity of -** water pumped, very little impression has been made on the wells. During the past 16 days six million gallons have been drawn from the well which supplies the One Tree Hill area, but notwithstanding this heavy demand the water level has fallen only one inch. The spring at Te Papapa, known as Allen’s Spring, is not quite so steady, the water level there having fallen six inches, after yielding a supply of seven million gallons.
