DANGEROUS CROSSING

STACKS AT ARGYLE STREET “REPORTS EXAGGERATED" A complaint was made at the last meeting of the Mount Albert Borough Council that timber stacks in the yard near Argyle Street crossing obscured the view. In this connection a letter was received by the Council last evening from Mr. W. Allen in which he stated that the complaint was exaggerated. Mr. A. A. Buckley, who first opened the question, said he had no wish to reopen the subject, but he would maintain that at times high stasks of timber were the cause of accidents. Mr. J. H. Langley said he had seen the timber reach a height of 20 feet, and he moved that a letter be sent stating that if the timber remained as it was at present the Council would be satisfied. The motion was carried.
