GRAND
SYD. CHAPLIN’S LATEST “The Missing Link,” a hilarious comedy with Syd Chaplin in the shirring role,, and supported by Akku. the almost human chimpanzee, is proving a great attraction aX the Grand Theatre this week. Again proving his great versatility, SYd Chaplin plays three characters in one, in his present starring vehicle, “The Missing Link,” which Charles F. Reisner directed for Warner Bros. Syd plays a London derelict, who in turn plays the part of a lord, who in turn plays “the part of a Scotsman. This triple characterisation was the cause of many outbursts of laughter during the making of the film, for it was a very difficult thing for Syd to remember which character he was playing. Chaplin is supported in this uproarious farce by Ruth Hiatt, Tom McGuire, Crauford Kent, Sam Baker, and many others.
