WHEN THE RAIN COMES
Dried up and bare at the moment, and covered with countless millions of seeds lying dormant on the surface, most Auckland pastures will come away freely once the rain comes. A worthwhile reviver was suggested to the writer by Mr. T. H. Patterson, chief agricultural officer for the Auckland Province, the other day. A thin top-dressing with superphosphate when the rain comes, he stated, would ensure rapid growth. Provided the rain did not come too late and a decent spell of * growing weather followed, the feed would come away well before the winter. rH 34n riT tk rl- rre rre rF rF rK
