GREEN LANE CHURCH
rev. a. mcmillan called INDUCTION ON WEDNESDAY The Rev. A. W. McMillan, at a meeting of members of the Green Lane Congregational'Church on Wednesday, announced his acceptance of the call to the pastorate. The induction service will be held next Wednesday evening, when the Rev. Harry Johnson. Moderator of the New Zealand Congregational Union, the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher and other Congregational ministers will take part. Mr. McMillan has just returned from Ngaruawahia, where he had charge of Y.M.C.A. activities in the Waikato military camp, and he will be returning for .further Y.M.C.A. duty in the camp during February, when more than a thousand territorials will be in training. Green Lane will be Mr. McMillan’s first pastorate among Europeans, but his experience has been unusually varied. He spent many years in India under the auspices of the London Missionary Society, and during the last three years worked for the New Zealand Y.M.C.A. among Indians in Fiji, in which sphere he was able to cooperate in 'Useful service with both Government and missions. Mr. McMillan has been serving as actingminister at Green Lane since last August.
