MORE INQUIRY NEW ZEALAND 162 S TO 164 S By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Thurs. In the butter market there is more inquiry, retailers’ stocks becoming reduced. Arrivals are at present moderate. Choicest salted New Zealand brings from 162 s to 1645. Australian, 156 s to 160 s. Unsalteds, 3s 5d premium. Danish, 180 s. Cheese is in better demand, New Zealand bringing 92s to 93s.—A. and N.Z. BUTTER MARKET BARE FURTHER INCREASE RECORDED Butter has advanced a further 2s on the London market, according to cables received in' Auckland this morning. Under date February 2, the London office of Amalgamated Dairies, Ltd., cabled as follows: Butter.—Spot market bare; “Anchor” 1645; unsalted, 170 s; Danish, 175 s f.o.b. Cheese.—-White and coloured, 925; market firm. Norden and Co. are ifi receipt of the following cable from their London principals, dated February 2:— “New Zealand butter, salted, 162 s (equivalent to Is 3.7 d a lb); market quiet. New Zealand cheese, 935; market firm.” Under date February 2 the London house of Dalgety and Co. cabled as follows : “Butter: The market is firm, owing to small offerings. New Zealand finest salted, 160 s to 1645; Danish, 176 s to 178 s; Australian finest salted, 156 s to 160 s; Australian finest unsalted, 160 s to 1625; Australian G.A.Q., 150 sto 1545. Cheese: The market is firm, owing to small offerings New Zealand white and coloured, 92s to 935; Canadian coloured, 100 s to 102 s; Canadian white, 100 s to 104 s.
