GENERALLY SATISFACTORY
NEW FILTRATION PLANTS Generally the tests of the two new water filtration plants for Waitakere and Nihotupu have proved satisfactory, according to a report submitted to the Water Committee of the City Council yesterday. It has been found that the washings required are slightly more often than once in 24 hours, however, the beds requiring to be cl€;aned every 19 hours. The city engineer has insisted on new lime plants being installed by the contractors, and in the meantime lime, to correct acidity, is being added by means of temporary, measures, .
