NATIONAL AND LYRIC
“TWO GIRLS WANTED” The dainty little actress, Janet Gaynor, in “Two Girls Wanted,” now at the National and Lyric Theatres, proves that she is not limited in her histrionic talents to only emotional roles. But that she is equally great in a part that calls for comedic treatment. In this lighthearted Fox feature she plays the part of a girl who has to make her own living as an office worker. Who, finding herself out of employment and with a sick sister to support, dresses as a boy and tries to find work as one. This, and the many other well motivated episodes in this picture give Miss Gaynor many situations which she scores as a comedienne of the highest order. Then, of course, in such situations as require emotional portrayal, she achieves heights seldom equalled on the screen. Glenn Tryon has ; the male lead and Ben Bard and Marie Mosquini, both, of whom supported the young star In the “Seventh Heaven/' have roles of importance. The second feature on the progromme is “Millionaires,” a film which was adapted from the novel, “The Inevitable Millionaires,” by Phillips Oppenheim. starring George Sidney and Louise Fazenda. •
