WHITTON’S GOOD CARD FORMER VICTORIAN CHAMPION (Special to THE SUN.) WELLINGTON, Wednesday. An interesting visitor to New Zealand is Ivo Whitfon, a former amateur golf champion of Victoria. Whitton, who leaves shortly for Auckland, intends to visit Christchurch and Dunedin, the latter in order to play with Dr. K. Ross. In a four-ball match, which included Sloan, Morpeth. Arthur .Duncan, and T. H. Horton, at Miramar yesterday, WhittOn played three rounds in Tevel fours. He did 70, 75, and 71, playing perfect golf, and was two up on Morpeth at the end of the day. The evenness of "Whitton’s game is shown by the fact that in the whole day he holed out only one long putt. Bogey at Miramar is 78. KIRK-WINDEYER TEAM MATCH IN CHRISTCHURCH Press Association.
