PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES
Giving evidence at an Inquest yesterday afternoon, a marine engineer essayed a private opinion which drew forth a caustic reply from the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. “The Government puts notices in all its buildings,” said the witness, “and such warning notices should be placed on the buses to warn the public of its own stupidity.” “Yes, and they put iron rails around the machinery on the boats to stop people like you from falling , into it,” responded the coroner.
