Car Hits Children
ONE GIRL KILLED ANOTHER SERIOUSLY INJURED Press Association. GISBORXE ,To-day. While hurrying to school across the Awapuni Road this morning two girls, Edna, aged eight and Faith, aged five years, daugnters of Mr. Allan, of Salisbury Road, were run down by a motor-car, Edna bejng killed instantly, while the other was severely injured. The accident followed the sudden appearance of the children from behind another vehicle, the car driver’s effort to escape a collision being rendered ineffective owing to a panic-stricken rush on the part of the victims.
