WORST IN MEMORY AQUITANIA BATTERED By Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.43 a.m. NEW YORK, Thursday. The Cunard liner Aquitania has arrived. She was delayed two days by the worst weather in her commander’s memory. Strong gales whipped the sea into mountainous waves, which broke the port-hole windows In the upper decks arid smashed deck equipment. The waves once dashed against the captain’s bridge, which is 70 feet above the water-line, with such an impact that the windows were broken and the officers within were drenched. Captain Little said: “It was the worst weather I have ever experienced.”—A. and N.Z.
