THE THIRD VENTURE
MARRIED MAN’S MISTAKE SAID HE WAS A BACHELOR Married on* two previous occasions one wife dying and the other divorcing him, William George Ogg, essayed another venture, and is now living apart from his third wife. These facts were brought to light at the Police Court to-day when he was charged with making a false deduration to the registrar of marriages by stating that he was a bachelor. The evidence showed that he was married in Scotland, but his wife died leaving one child. He then married in 1912, but his wife divorced him. In 1925 he married his present wife, and described himself as a bachelor. The accused said he did not say anything to his present wife because he did not want her to know of his previous marriages. By stating that he was a bachelor he did not think it was such a serious offence. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence, bail in £25 in his own recognisance being allowed.
