Car Somersaults Over Sloping Bank
THREE PERSONS INJURED SENT TO WANGANUI HOSPITAL (From Our Own Correspondent) RAETIHI, To-day. A motor-car travelling toward Raetihi, and approaching a -harp bend, left the road and went over a sloping bank about 60 feet on the Parapara Road. The car turned at least three somersaults, and all the occupants were thrown out. Mr. E. Neary, jun., was driving, and there were five -passengers. On the arrival of a doctor, three were sent to the Wanganui Hospital. The injured were: Mr. Hassell, broken leg. Mr. Neary, badly shaken.. Miss Ball, injury to shoulder. The car was considerably damaged, and the windscreen and hood were smashed to, pieces.
