Leaping from bed, he found that ths back portion of the house was inflames. He had some difficulty in neaping from the house with his wife, who was hysterical, loth were in their night attire. Nothing was saved from the burning building. There wais some delay in giving the alarm, as Mr. Kilmac attended to his wife before doing so, and flames were right through the building before the Remuera brigade arrived. The house is a five-roomed building, earned by Mr. J. Bullin.
