ROYAL, KINGSLAND

ESTHER 'RALSTON’S LATEST The biggest fashion show from Paris is brought to the screen at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland, where Esther Ralston’s first Paramount starring vehicle, “Fashions For Women,” is being shown. The picture brims over with more youth, romance, comedy and up-to-the-minute gowns than have been seen since “The Dressmaker From Paris.” In all, more than a score of complete outfits, designed especially by Travis Banton, one of the world’s most noted style fcreators, are worn by a bevy of 15 beautiful mannequins in a colourful fashion show sequence. The story of “Fashions For Women” was adapted for the screen by Herman Mankiewicz and Jules Furthman from the famous stage success, “The Girl of the Hour.”
