SALE OF HALF-A-BOTTLE TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS FINE Press Association. ASHBURTON, Friday. Twice previously adjourned because of the. non-appearance of the accused, the case against William . Higgins, charged with having sold half a bottle of whisky in a no-licence district, was proceeded with this morning. When the case was first called, on November 22 the magistrate, Mr. Orr Walker, S.M., .issued & warrant for the arrest of Higgins. There’was no appearance of Higgins to-day and a fine of £25 was imposed, in default two months’ imprisonment. Costs and expenses totalled £4 13s-
