AIR PLEASURE CRUISE

FIRST OF ITS KIND “SILVER WING’S” LONG FLIGHT The first air pleasure cruise, of 5,500 miles, will marx another step in the history of aviation. For this pioneer cruise, which will leave London on January 31, 1925, the Imperial Airways, Ltd., will use one of the latest types of the famous “Silver Wing” triple-engined airplanes. Jt has accommodation for 29 passengers, but the members of the cruise will be limited to 12. The crew will consist of the pilot, the pilot-engineer and a steward, the latter in charge of a plentiful supply of refreshments, which will be obtainable at all times. Luncheon will be served “in the air” on several of the long “hops.” The cruise will occupy 35 days, and the passengers will travel over 5,500 miles by air and some hundreds of miles by motor-car. The passengers wili exchange the foggy leaden skies of England in February for the bright, joyous climes of Southern France, Spain, Northern Africa and Italy. The places of interest visited will range from the modern city of Paris to the ancient cities of Carthage and Marrakech and the green fields of England and France will give place to the burning sands of the Sahara and the black lava lands of Italy and Sicily. Motor-cars will await the Silver Wing at each airdrome, convey the passengers to their hotels, and be at their disposal for the various excursions and sight-seeing trips of interest in each district. As is to be expected, only a small quantity of luggage can be carried on the plane, but arrangements have been made to forward extra baggage to the passengers at different points en route and to receive from them baggage which is no longer required, thereby securing all the advantages and of the disadvantages of the biggest of travel worries—luggage. The full itinerary for the cruise is: London, Paris, Bordeaux, Biarritz, Perpignan, Barcelona, Monterratt, Alicante, Malaya, Granada, Seville, Tangier s, Casablanca, Marrakech, Fez, Oran, Algiers, Blidah, Biskra. Garden of Allah, Tunis, Zaghouan, Quairwc.n, El Djem, Susa, Mahdia, Mt. Etna, Catania, Naples, Vesuvius, Pompeii, Sorrento, Amalfi, Rome, Venice, Pisa, Marseilles, Hyeres, Lyons and via Paris to London.
