ELTHAM BOOKMAKERS

STIFF FINES IMPOSED

Press Association. ELTHAM, Tuesday. J. D. McKay ironmonger and A. Novak restaurant keeper, were charged at the court to-day before Mr. R. W. Tate, S.M., with on December 27. carrying on the business of bookmaking and on December 31 keeping premises as common gaming houses. Accused pleaded guilty and were fined £75 and £SO respectively. The second charge was withdrawn.
