At the Sydney wool sales, under excited competition, the market ruled at the best point of the season, and very full satisfactory clearances were made, all descriptions sharing the demand. Greasy Merino sold to 42? d and N.Z. FACTORY RETURNS BIG DECREASE SHOWN The milk received at the East Tamaki Dairy Company’s factory has shown a decided decline for the first fourteen days of January. Compared with last month, there is a decrease of 20 per cent, and with the same period of last year the drop is over 5 per cent. A very similar position prevails at the New Zealand Dairy Company’s cheese factory, where a further shortening of hands is expected in the near future. The payout for December, which will be made on January 20, at the East Tamaki Dairy Company, total £8,547 7s Bd, at the rate of Is 6d for finest, and Is 51d for first-grade. A total of 60 tons of butter was made for the month, showing a decided increase on December of 1926.
