AUCKLAND ELEVEN SELECTED The following: junior players have been selected to represent Auckland in a match against the Wellington junior representatives at the Basin Reserve, Wellington, on January 24 and 25: R. Cowie (North Shore), j Finney (Ponsonby), Pearson (King’s College), N. Goldsworthy (North Shore). T. R. Stallworthy (Y.M.C.A.), ! G. Wright (Eden) ; twelfth man, Mur- ; ray (Parnell). R. G. Bush was appointed captain, and Mr. N. E. Cashmore manager. MANAGER FOR REPS. The secretary of the Auckland Cricket Association, Mr. N. H. E. Hockin, was appointed last evening manager of the Auckland representative side to leave for Wellington to-day week to defend the Plunket Shield. The committee selected Messrs. A. Francis and C. Nissen umpires for the Wellington match, from a list of four supplied by the Southern centre. Mr. F. Earl w*rote stating he would present Ivan Cooper with a bat in recognition of his fine batting performances in the recent Canterbury-Auck-land match. All players are requested to call on Mr. N. Cashmore, 28 Strand Arcade, before Thursday, and to practise at Eden Park on Friday at 5 p.m.
