SUBURBAN DRAINAGE
PROPOSALS AT ONEHUNGA Mr. John Dawson, engineer to the One Tree Hill Road Board, has reported to the Onehunga Borough Council that he estimates the cost of completing the drainage of Ellcrslie, One Tree Hill, and Onehunga as one scheme, at £35,325. This includes a tidal storage tank, outfall setverage, and new sewers. The scheme as submitted provides for a septic tank, £7,700; outfall pipe. £2,600; a 21-inch pipe laid from tne corner of Neilson Street and Angle Street to the septic tank on the Manukau. 8.500 feet, £14,875; an 18-inch pipe from the corner of Neilson Street and Angle Street to the corner of Rockfield Road and Mount Smart Road, 4,100 feet. £6.150; a 12-inch pipe along Captain Springs Road, 6,600 feet. £2.475; connecting pipes, manholes, surveys, engineering and other expenses. bring the total cost up to £38.325. The Onehunga Borough Council has deferred consideration of the report, pending a further conference of the local bodies interested and the engineer.
