MAN SEVERELY INJURED A VICIOUS ANIMAL Press Association . GISBORNE, Monday, While crossing a paddock adjacent to the freezing works at Waipaoa on Saturday evening, an elderly man was attacked by a dehorned Jersey bull and badly injured before he could be rescued. The victim of the attack was Mr. R. Williamson, who was admitted later in the evening to the Rostrevor Hospital suffering from serious injuries. The bull showed great viciousness and a friend who went to help the injured man was tossed heavily, but escaped with nothing more than a shaking. The animal was eventually driven off. ''' Mr. Williamson’s condition to-day was reported as much improved.
