The Basra correspondent of the “Daily Express” says the Royal Air Force has commenced operations against the Wahabi chief, Feisal el Dawish, who has raided a number of border villages and slain all the male inhabitants. The base of the operations will be at Ur of the Chaldees, where more than 50 airplanes have been assembled from Basra, Bagdad and Mosul, under Air-Yice-Marshal J. F. A. Higgins. The surrounding desert is being searched every day for marauders. Feisal’s Stronghold is deserted.—A. and N.Z.
