The cricket championship was continued yesterday in fine weather, after a lapse of five weeks. Grange defeated Carisbrook by three runs. Grange had scored 235 in the first innings and Carisbrook had lost one wicket for 106 when the game was resumed. The innings closed for *232 (Allan 68 not out. Blunt 61. Dickinson 45). Galland took six wickets for 74 runs. In the second venture Grange scored 143 for the loss of four wickets (Galland 42 not out). Blunt took three wickets for 30.
