TO NORTH POLE
AIRSHIP NEARLY READY NOBILE’S SECOND VENTURE By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 11.5 a.m. LONDON, Friday. The Milan correspondent o£ “The Times” reports that the airship M 4, in which General Nobile will make another venture to the North Pole, is almost ready. It embodies improvements suggested by the Norge expedition, including light screens of wire gauze which will prevent the screws throwing fragments of icicles through the gas envelope. Trial flights will begin shortly.— “Times.” General Nobile designed and controlled the airship Norge in which Amundsen crossed, the North Pole.
