“WELCOME TO NEW ZEALAND.”—It has been suggested that the cliff face at Campbell’s Point should be beautified and should carry floral beds outlining the Maori greeting, “Kia Ora.” This, it is claimed, would serve as a welcome to incoming passengers on ocean liners and as a farewell to departing visitors. The council does no t propose to put into execution this sch erne, which has much to commend it.
