The French Rugby Union has renamed the Colombes Stadium after Dumanoir, who died at the New Year as the- result of a flying accident, in honour of his achievements for French Rugby football. —Sun. Lieut. Dumanoir was killed on New Year’s Day while carrying out his military service as a lieutenant in the Air Force. He was one of France’s most brilliant Rugby three-quarters, and became prominent when he played against the New Zealanders in the 1924-25 season.
