WELFARE OF CHILDREN
TWO WOMEN JUSTICES AUCKLAND APPOINTMENTS The announcement is made of the appointment of Mrs. N. E. Ferner and Miss S. E. Jackson, of Auckland, as special justices of the peace under the Child Welfare Act. Miss Jackson, who recently retired from the position of matron at the Mount Albert ludustrial Home after many years’ experience, has a wide knowledge of welfare work.
