Seaman Gashes Hand.—A seaman of the West Togus, J. Postleth waite, caught his right hand in the ship’s gangway yesterday afternoon, and gashed it severely. He was treated at the casualty ward of the Auckland Hospital, where he was taken by the St. John Ambulance, and later taken back to his ship before it sailed for Melbourne.
